Susan is a former nurse (RMN)  and gained her MBA in 2003 at Napier University. Her early career was in Health and Social Care managing care homes, day centres and visiting support services for people experiencing mental health conditions and learning disabilities in the Private, Public and Third Sectors as well as Housing Associations.

Susan has extensive experience of developing new services and managing change and implementing Quality Standards.

Susan is the current Chair of Edinburgh’ Joined up for Jobs Partnership Forum, sits on the Board of SUSE, is a member of BASE. She works in partnership with many organisations and is a member of the 2nd Tier Appeals Panel for the Scottish Welfare Fund in Edinburgh.  She is also part of a working group within Edinburgh Council Economic Development looking at an Edinburgh based Employability Award.   Employability Services website

Chief Operating Officer of Forth Sector and Managing Director of Forth Sector Development, Ltd

Iain trained as an engineer, has a BSc in mechanical engineering and a PhD in structural engineering. His early career was with UNISYS as a mechanical design engineer.  He was a founding member of the Institute of Technology Management at Heriot Watt University which was established to promote technology transfer from academe to industry.  He later worked at Edinburgh Napier University becoming Deputy Managing Director of Napier University Ventures and a member of the Finance and Commercialisation sub-committee of Napier University Court.  He has held senior posts including Director of Microemissive Displays Limited and Director of Development at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce.  He was member of the Industrial Advisory Board of the Institute of Informatics and Digital Innovation, Edinburgh Napier University.

Iain has extensive experience of European funding and is a former Chair of the Eastern Scotland European Partnership

In recent years he has run his own consultancy business, advising and supporting a number of business clients, including Forth Sector.

Head of Human Resources

Margaret is a Chartered Member of the CIPD and Forth Sector’s HR Manager. Margaret has an MSc in Human Resource Management from Napier University, and her dissertation was on the human resource management challenges faced by SMEs and the innovative ways in which SMEs can overcome these challenges. Margaret works in a stand-alone HR role and has responsibility for the people management procedures and practices of Forth Sector.

Margaret has gained extensive experience of implementing HR procedures that promote a successful work environment for Supported Employment.
